project: Magnolia and Magnolia Meadows Parks
location: Tanasbourne, Oregon
services: site master planning, analysis and design, open space planning and design, landscape architecture analysis and design, streetscape planning and design, riparian and shoreline restoration planning and design, renderings, construction and bid document preparation, specifications, cost estimating, and construction administration.
program: This mixed-use program included large pedestrian open space & multi-use event venues with an 8 ft wide, multi-modal path. A simulated native stream with waterfalls, a pedestrian bridge, overlooks, and native American totems highlighted this gateway to Grants Pass. With over 1700 lf of river frontage the SEPA, NEPA, flood plane, endangered species, and other issues made the development and bank stabilization on this site a true stormwater management challenge.
