||This mixed-use site along the Rogue River is nestled between the major east and westbound transportation corridors through downtown. The project program included a themed restaurant and hotel complex, large pedestrian open space & multi-use event venues and an 8 ft wide, multi-modal path as part of an initial phase of the Grants Pass Riverwalk Promenade. A simulated native stream with waterfalls, pedestrian bridge, overlooks, and native American totems highlight this gateway to Grants Pass. With over 1700 lf of river frontage, multiple regulatory and environmental issues made the development and bank stabilization on this site a true stormwater management challenge.
